I am a 13 year old from New York, USA. As far as reptiles go, I got my first when I was ten, after doing 2 years of research. My first reptile was a leopard gecko, Lenetta. She is still doing really well, and Ive even bred her. I also rescued another female gecko when my friend couldn’t take care of her. Her name is Lea.
Then, when I bred Lenetta to a friends male this year, she produced 6 clutches of two eggs each, all fertile. 8 of them hatched into healthy babies which are all doing well. I have named 4 of them, but the rest are unnamed. The named ones are from oldest to youngest: Rex, Audi, Delta, Echo.
I also have experience with Western fence lizards, and my caresheet for the species was published in the Jan/Feb 2022 issue of Reptiles magazine.
my other hobbies are: airsoft, electronics, and most recently, rc gas airplanes (like… with a 6 foot wingspan!).
im really excited to meet everyone here and to be a part of this forum!
Welcome to the forum, I'm glad you made it! Its great to see so many young people in the reptile hobby. It is an amazing hobby to be a part of.
Congrats on successfully breeding your Leos. Back when I used to breed one of Georges hatchlings refused to hatch even though his brother did so I had to cut the egg open. That was pretty cool.
That is fabulous that your article was published in the reptiles magazine. Congrats!!
Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you here!
