A betta with proper forms back should be straight- but a small arch is acceptable. The belly should curve back where the anal fin starts and the bottom of the fish should be smooth until it hits just below the caudal fin. It can slightly bow out on the top and bottom. The caudal fish should be uniform. Pelvic fins should be without a split. Dorsal fin shape can vary. Pectoral fins should be uniform. anal fin should be longer by the caudal fin and shorter by the head having a slight too decent slant. fish should be strong enough to easily move about and carry its fins.
