Common name: Subwassertang, Loma Fern, Lomariopsis lineata, or Susswassertang. Scientific name: It is not yet recognized as a distinct species, so technically, it has no scientific name although some consider it to be Lomariopsis lineata. Native area: South East Asia Size: Basically unlimited, it spreads like moss. Lighting: No special lighting is needed, I have an LED. Moderate, high, and low lighting will all be tolerated. Tank size: Any tank, but works great for nano tanks due to its size. Growth rate: Moderate to slow. Appearance: It is like a tape looking moss but is actually a fern. Fertilizer: None needed, but it may grow faster with liquid fertilizers. It takes its nutrients from the water column.

In Betta Fish & Betta Breeding
Experience: I only recommend it for previous/experienced betta owners. Tanks size: minimum of a 10 gallon, but some recommend a 20-40 gallon minimum. Amount of bettas: You will need a minimum of 6-8 bettas Bettas per gallon: Have at least 1.4 gallons per betta fish. Tank mates: Livebearers, (some are compatible with shrimp), snails, cory catfish, plecos, and small unaggressive schooling fish. Sex: Only have female betta sororities. Never have mutable male bettas or male and females bettas co-housed. Color: Betta color doesn't matter, that is a false rumor. Compatibility: Get you bettas from the same breeder. Preferably, get bettas that are spawn mates or a few spawns that have been raised together. Just because they are spawn mates, does not mean they will all look alike. Spawns have a large variety of bettas, especial marble gene spawns. Decorations: Drift wood, spider, wood, cholla wood, and rocks are all good and natural decorations. Hides: Have at least one, preferably two hides with mutable exits. If they only have one exit, bettas can become trapped and a fight can break out. Planting: You will need to heavily plant your sorority. Use live plants, as they will clean the water a provide a realistic environment. Live plants scare a lot of people off, but the majority are very easy to keep and I prefer them over fake plants any day of the weak. Give your tank some time to grow in and have a variety of plants. Go for mostly green with a few yellow, purple, or pink plants that will pop. This is an example of a properly live planted tank: Feeding: Your sorority should be fed live and frozen food as well as a top brand of pellets like Fluvle, Omega 1, or Northfin. Slowly feed so each betta gets 4 or five pieces/bugs 1-2 times a day. Temperament: Ask the breeder about temperament and make sure their fish are chill l and have been in a sorority/young sibling co-housing. Have fun: I have a complete variety of betta colors. I encourage mutable colors as it is supper fun, or you could get similar colors and have it look more like a school. Whatever you want. Fin type: Fin type doesn't matter, have as many fin types or the same fin type. Its all up to you. Pecking order: just like chickens, ducks, and goats, bettas will have a pecking order. There will be a "quean bee" who is the boss and also keeps peace. Sighs of aggression: Extensive chasing after pecking order is established, hiding, missing scales, chucks missing from fins, skinny betta that is scared away from food, betta wont come up to eat, fairing, and staying in a specific spot all day. Lighting: No fancy lighting is needed, I have an LED. Lid: Have a tight lid on your aquarium with no easy escape wholes as bettas jump.

I love houseplants. My wonderful grandma has spread her love. My mom also loves house plants but fell chronically ill when she had me. She had to get rid of her large African violate collection as she has many other things to do and that dropped low on the priority list. I love cacti, succulents, small trees, ferns, African violates, aquatic plants, air plants, and tropical plants. Pretty much everything lol. I also love gardening.
